Because we don't get enough of baseball on our own, we decided that we should spend extra time down in Des Moines at Principal Park watching some of the State Tournament. Thursday night, we watched the Coon Rapids Crusaders and Martinsdale-St Mary in the 1A Semi-Finals. Keith is a graduate of CR-B, and played baseball while he was in high school. Keith's Dad now drives the school bus for the baseball team. We watched this game with Papa.

It was a close game, and CR-B had it in the bag until the last inning. It was a very disappointing end to the evening, but it was such a fun game to watch with Papa.

  1. I'm just catching up on other blogs :) Gee...can't imagine why?!? I so wish Gilbert could have come away with the championship! I'm sure it was fun to be able to watch them at Principal Park though. Your parents are SO sweet :) It was one of the boys favorite overnight stops! I think the remote control tractor played a big role in that :) Wish we would have known Jodi was in town - we'd have stopped to say hi!
