Day #4

FRIDAY JULY 2, 2010

Jodi had been taking a cake decorating class and her final class was while we were there. She had made a chocolate layer cake with white icing and decorated it with flowers. She did a nice job on it. She decided the best way to get rid of it was to feed it to my guys for breakfast until it was gone. Hey, it was vacation after all, right? And you can see none of them were complaining!

Next stop--Disneyland! For some reason, this cannon right inside the gate fascinated all of them. I don't think they had any idea what was waiting for them so they thought this was pretty interesting. Little did they know all that was in store for the rest of the day!
Jared has this special interest in the presidents, so he was excited to see there was a show called "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln" in the Opera House on Main Street. That was our first stop. Abe was created with Audio-Animatronics which made him look so real it was sort of creepy! He spoke, he moved, he stood, and he sat back down. Sorry, no pictures were aloud, but the boys asked for these pictures in the lobby area of great Americans. There was JFK ,Jackie Robinson and many others.....

Tomorrowland and a ride on the rockets......

Sleeping Beauty's Castle. If you can imagine, the BOYS were NOT so impressed with any princess part of their day!

Tea Cups.... While we waited Jared, Trevor and I passed the camera around so we could get a picture of everyone. Cale was going to ride with us, but before he could meet up with us, we were being loaded into our cup.

It's A Small World! I kept telling the boys that we HAD to ride this one whether they wanted to our not. (Aren't I nice?!) It's just not a trip to Disneyland with out a boat ride through this attraction. In the end they did enjoy it. They liked to try and guess which country was which as our boat went by. Not to mention, it was a place to sit down where it was dark, cool and relaxing!

A ride through Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin. Keith, Trevor and I were in a different car, so I kept trying to get some shots of Cale and Jared when they would spin towards us. How funny! It's ALL natural! :)

Who knew that Pluto was an Angels fan??

More pictures from around Mickey's Toontown.

Our day is almost over. We made a quick stop at the carousel........

......and a quick visit to Dumbo....

It was 11:30 and our day was done, and Jodi was on her way to pick us up in the parking garage again.

The VERY quiet ride back to her house. There is nothing like a full day at the Happiest Place on Earth to really crap a kid out!
