My New Favorite Bag

This is my new favorite find!! It is a Baggallini Messenger Bag. It is made of the nylon rip stop material so it is extremely light weight. When you wear it, it is like a back pack but the strap goes across your chest. It has a ton of pockets to hold so many things. The other day I put all of my things in it and threw a book in, too...and still had lots of room left!

It's pretty casual, so I don't foresee me using it when I head to church, but it is great when I head out to run errands, or am going some place with the boys. I love that it's hands free! I can see it getting a real work out this summer when the boys and I are constantly on the go. And it will be fantastic on vacation!!

One of my favorite things is the strap. If you look in the next picture, you can see that there is a compartment on the strap that zips and it will hold your cell phone, or even a small camera, or your money. That compartment comes right across your chest so it is really quick and handy to get to. You can barely see it, but there is a mesh pocket on one side that will hold a water bottle...I've done it! I think this would've been perfect when the the boys were babies and I was trying to keep track of a diaper bag, them and a stroller.

I looked at them online and they were about $40. I happened to find it at the ISU Bookstore for $30 and then used Keith's alumni card which saved me another $6! I couldn't pass it up for only $24! He just laughs when I grab it because I tell him each time "I love my new bag!" (And I did get it in red, which shouldn't suurprise anyone!)

A SHORT conversation

Tonight Jared spent the night with a friend, and the rest of us went out to eat. While we were waiting for our food a small conversation started...and ended when I burst out laughing....

Me to Cale: "So, how's your love life?"
Cale: "Good"
Trevor stops what he's doing and looks at him and says "I'm surprised!"

And THAT is when I started laughing. Aren't little brothers fun???

Best Gift EVER!!

This is the little guy that told me on Valentine's Day: "Mom, I didn't really get you anything for Valentine's Day, but I'll snuggle with you on the couch if you want?"

Flash Back

This picture of Poor Jared was taken on February 20, 2005. He was almost 4 at the time. He looks like he had been in a bar fight and had lost miserably! He had such a terrible cold at the time and this is how he woke up one Sunday morning. His poor eyes were so swollen and he looked just horrible! He just broke my heart...and the grandparents could hardly stand to look at this picture when I emailed it to them. In fact I think they all promptly deleted it!

We had actually taken all 3 of them to the doctor just the day before and they were all given amoxicillan for one reason or another....ears, sinus', coughs...I really don't remember what each one had for sure, but I do remember that this is what my refrigerator looked like for the next 2 weeks.......
